"Pizza, salads, beer, margarits and more". I love finding pizza places around Baton Rouge that are no so cookie-cutter... you know... not your average pizza place. The prices here are perfect! About $15 for a large pizza... add some beer and call it a party. I may just do that (patting myself on the back for a great idea). We dropped by another nearby restaurant (LSU area) and it was packed - a 40 minute wait... for huuuuunggggryyyy bellies that translates to "no, we must go somewhere else where we could eat right away". I was not in the mood for a pizza, my husband and I were craving a salad, but our daughter wanted pizza = Reginelli's was the perfect compromise! Plus, they had pizza-by-the-slice... even more perfect! We ordered a chicken salad, which was perfect for my husband and I to share and we ordered 3 pizza slices. The order took a bit long to get to our table, but was worth the wait because the slices were piping hot and the crust was crispy deliciousness! As for the salad... it had all fresh ingredients, which is the reason why I order one in the first place. Amazing enough, there was a crunch in the vegetables and my daughter even enjoyed having some! This Reginelli's was close for sometime for rennovations. Of course I had no idea what it looked like before, but I love the space... great for large parties, watching the big sports game or just a casual hangout spot. There is even a shuffleboard table, which is a hit for any age to play! You order and pay your food at the counter, so the only table service is when they bring you your food - you have a number on your table. I will be back soon, probably with a bunch more people the next time! I am excited that Reginelli's can accommodate so many people! See you at Reginelli's (LSU Area)! * Pizza * Salad * Beers * Margaritas * Shuffleboard * Sports Bar *

I ate here recently at an elite Yelp event and I loved it. The pizza was really good. They have a great selection of beer on tap. The location is very convenient and I highly recommend this hot spot.

This place is my go to place for sliced pizza near work. I hate that they don't have a full menu at this location anymore. However, I by the pizza by the slice now for $3 and pizza is that bad. This location caters to the students. It used to have a Mediterranean hummus that was great. Sometimes this would be my meal with the pita bread on the side.

Finally decent Pizza that delivers near LSU. This has been needed for years! The Sun Pie and the Parthenon are my favorite two choices here. Nice to be able to get good pizza delivered the night before an LSU game.

Nice little place next to campus. They have a full bar. Service was fast and friendly. Pizza was good but not astounding, however, I really liked the crust. I would go back. Also they had several big TV's to watch the game.

I'm sad to say that this was to be one of my favorite pizza spots in town but the recent menu change brings me down. A lot. My first issue comes on a previous visit - I called in to order the Ancona Caesar, by far my FAVORITE thing on the menu. It's a wondrous combination of warm flatbread served with Caesar salad, chicken, and avocado on top. Well, it was. Now it's just the salad. For $10. I was DEVASTATED. With this moment in the distant cockles of my mind, I walked in here for a quick nosh on the third stop of the Abita pub crawl (read: not yet drunk) and was looking forward to some delicious pizza. We sat at a table in the elevated section and ordered a slice and a couple of appetizers - the cheese sticks, that I was THRILLED about because it was a favorite on my previous visits, and the garlic knots. The garlic knots were GREAT, delicious and saucy with cheese and olive oil and that fresh doughy taste that you want in this kind of thing. My beef however, was in the cheese sticks, or what I'd like to call, rosemary/oregano bread with a side of cheese. I like rosemary and oregano just as much as the next girl, but this was way over done. It was overpowering the small amount of cheese and trying to mask the over-cooking of the app as a whole. My friend was also less than thrilled about his pizza slice, which I will say was probably less than stellar due to the amount of people sitting down and eating whole pizzas rather than quick passerbys and pub crawl participants eating slices. Honestly, if the cheese bread would have been better this part would have been overlooked, but I felt it needed at least a passing mention. Now I understand when you have a large mass of people coming in at once, your food quality will often suffer due to high demand, but from what I viewed, most people were drinking not eating. Additionally, the servers were bringing out food quickly so the food coming out was fresh. If the change in the menu is the issue, then I'll probably wait a bit to return until all the kinks get worked out but in my humble opinion, Reginelli's, bring back the old school - it tasted much better and it's what I fell in love with many moons ago :)

This is my go-to place for when I'm on campus and craving good pizza. I usually try the small classic combo (6 slices) with a salad, and that gives me leftovers for dinner too. I've tried their tortellini pasta and Saltimbocca pizza once before, and both were delicious. Wish they'd sell pizza by the slice. That would make this place more pocket-friendly.

The pizzas are so old and not fresh. The ambience is bad. And their full menus available at the website doesn't apply to this outlet. They have their own small limited choice menu. Their pizzas are also boring in all. And the choice is not really there.

Went in there tonight and ordered 2 cheese slices to go. Waited 45 minutes and still no pizza. Seriously?! Asked for a refund and left. Terrible!

To be honest, the main draw for me is the 2 dollar pitchers on Tuesdays. The food is pretty good as well.

The spinach and mushroom calzone is delicious. I didn't have to wait that long for it. The beer is cheap as well. $2 Dos Equis in a very big glass

Too bad everyone else was generous with their ratings. 4 of 5 stars was enough to make me try this pizza with really disappointing results. My wife tried to choke down a whole piece and stopped short. I ate two pieces because I invested 18 dollars in the mistake and was stubborn enough to get my monies worth. Hope it doesn't make me sick because it certainly didn't make me satisfied. There are memorable foods and those that are not so memorable. This pizza is quite memorable but for all the wrong reasons, it is all kinds of horrible. Nor Easter, was the specific item ordered. I suspect the quality of the other recipes are equally poor, however I won't experience them because I am turned off enough from this first and only visit.

Went in for lunch today with some friends. Was quickly greeted as soon as I walked in the door and seated right away. Our drink order was taken immediately and filled quickly. The food was fresh and served in a reasonable amount of time. I had a mid city sandwich that had delicious chicken salad on it. Only complaint was that the bread was a bit salty for my taste. I will revisit this location to try some of the other sandwiches and salads.

Yesterday I stopped by for a late lunch, and got a salad. I can't remember what it was called, but it had asparagus and avocado. Super tasty! This isn't the cheapest place ever, but they sure do have good food.

The best pizza on LSU's campus. Great variety on the menu and high quality every time. Whether you are getting a calzone, signature pizza, or salad you will be happy with your food. I can't say that about many restaurants around LSU, but I always look forward to Reginelli's.

What a cute spot! I went here last night with a group of about 8 girls. We had one really sweet waitress who was super helpful, friendly, and efficient. We went on a Tuesday because they have $2 pitchers of Abita! You can't beat that deal. Even though this is mainly a pizza place, only a couple of us got pizza. Others ordered salad, calzones, or sandwiches (I had the Pitaco which was a pita with hummus and fresh veggies inside). I loved the Pitaco. The flavors were perfect together, nothing too complicated but delicious and filling nonetheless. I would easily go back for that meal again, but the pizza also looked and smelled amazing. I'm going to have to watch out or I'm going to gain 20 pounds living so close to this place...

I just moved over to Chimes St. which has a nice selection of dining options but I marveled at the notion that there was not a pizza place! I mean...LSU is huge and it is a college, and for Pete's sakes what do college kids eat...pizza. We had 2 pizza joints in my tiny New Hampshire college town which had a blinking yellow light at it's epicenter. I digress. Chimes finally heard the collective rumblings in the tummies of these malnourished students and has answered with Reginelli's. They have fantastic drink specials/happy hour, a cute, sleek looking interior, and friendly service. Let's get to the crust of the matter here. The pizza is good. Not great, but good. I hold back on that 4th star because I think that their sauce is a bit too spicy...I don't mind spice but I feel it is a bit distracting from the rest of the pie which is quite delicious. However my tangles with spice are irrelevent because the place is mad packed at all times. Now if they'd start slinging slices I might be coaxed into upping their star wattage but for now I'm contented by the fact that pizza is within spitting distance of my new pad.

Hands down the best pizza that I've ever had. I do wish that sweet tea was on their beverage menu though.

This is a really good place to eat. The pizza is awesome, and the calzones give you great bang for your buck (an $8 calzone will easily feed two).

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
